Now the two hip-hop heavyweights are aligning their business endeavors. Wests design and content house Donda has entered into a partnership with Jays Roc Nation, the companies announced in a joint statement on Monday. The partnership will focus on Wests international recording brand and his touring ventures. Donda, named after Wests late mother, was launched in 2009 when he collaborated with Louis Vuitton for a footwear collection. The creative house designed two versions of West's how to watch Kim Kardashian sex tape Nike Air Yeezy sneakers, which were instant hot-sellers, and crafted two capsule lines with Parisian brand A.P.C. Donda will also work on Wests upcoming Adidas line set to debut this fall.
And it's more than just Pharrell's fashion sense. The report states that while the pair are frequent music collaborators, West fears that any deal Williams might sign with adidas has the potential to outshine whatever plans he might have with his own deal with adidas. West's first collection with adidas is reportedly set to drop in September. Back in December, West famously left Nike to sign with adidas after a long dispute that included disagreements over compensation, money and respect between the two. West signing an actual deal with adidas means that this could be a long-term production with multiple products that will be readily available to the public unlike the much-talked about Nike Air Yeezy 2.
Perhaps most intriguing, Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar came together on one track, a choice that Poster said represents the collision of worlds that's intrinsic to "Divergent": the real world decaying into the future. "I think that one of the challenges for a movie like this is that it's set in the future and so you sort of have to figure out, 'OK, what might music in the future sound like?'" Poster said. "The film is actually set not in a perfected future, but actually kind of in a future world that is deteriorating. And so we wanted to create a musical element that had reflected on current music sounds, but also felt kind of time-forward and had a certain futuristic element." "Really our notion was to find music that was dangerous, tribal and had electronic elements without really being dance-y," he added. Since most of this film takes place in the Dauntless compound, the darkness of the soundtrack is fitting. It remains to be seen what will happen musically when Tris and Co.

Luckily for Kendall, she has a brother-in-law to be in the form of Kanye West who provided support on the night, and sat in the front row as she strutted her stuff during the Givenchy fashion show. As an avid fashion fan, not to mention someone who frequently finds himself at the centre of drama at award ceremonies, perhaps it's no surprise Kanye decided to check out the Autumn/Winter collections in the French capital instead of attending Oscars parties with the likes of Kelly Osbourne or Lady Gaga. It obviously meant a lot to the Kardashian collective that the Stronger rapper stepped in to look after Kendall, and Kim attempted to make up for her own absence by texting her little sister good luck messages as she waited to take the catwalk. Kim later took to her Twitter account to share her joy at Kanye's attendance, writing, "Best part was my baby watching & cheering on my baby sister!!! So sad I missed it!
The "Bad Girl" singer also ditched Hollywood Boulevard and, as it happens, a va-va-voom gown in favor of a black street look and menswear Givenchy jacket with a turned-back cap and mesh on her face. They have one more thing in common: both turning up late for Givenchy's warehouse show. With music and fashion already under their belts, it's reassuring that Rihanna and West are not also delving into movies. Just yet.
